Almost 100% of all news reports
of today reports on accidents, insecurity, disregards,
environmental catastrophes, crime, war... The insecurity among
people and the emotions of unsafety are increasing day by day in
every community.

Properation
Spektra is a multilayer project, which starts a multidimensional
process to increase public safety, and to develop the safety
culture in Finland.
Safety & Security is not a
feature, its a state of mind!
The
groundwork and idea generation was made during May and June
2005. The idea, concept, the visual image and the program was
represented for the SPEK board of directors 25th of
August 2005. The excellent response resulted to start the
preparations for the project immediately.
SPEK stands for the
Finnish National Rescue Association, which promotes preparedness
of the citizens and community against risks and accidents. It
operates in the field of fire and rescue service,
and civil protection. It works in a close collaboration with the
authorities and other rescue associations in Finland and even
abroad.
Spektra will be launched in 2006 nation
wide, when (one of the
SPEK´s former associations) the
Finnish Firebrigade Association celebrates its 100-years
Anniversary.
The name of the Properation Spektra stands for Professionality,
PR and an ongoinprocess, operation. Spektra stands for spectrum
in Swedish. The name offers a great starting point to create
even the visual design and logo for the project, and its
partners.
SPEK stands for National Central Organization in
the fields of fire and rescue service and civil protection. It
works in collaboration with authorities and other rescue
associations.
One
of the central objectives is to offer corporation, the media and
non-profit organizations many-sided opportunities to utilize the
name, visual design, activities, communications, and events to
be implemented in their own marketing communication activities -
to support corporate communications and/or brand marketing, and
to show corporate social responsibility in concrete.
The Finnish EU Presidency
starting 1st of June 2006 (1.6.-31.12.2006) offers a
great opportunity to promote Spektra even to be executed in
other European countries. One of the goals is to
internationalize the project beginning from 2007 (2007-2010).
