SICU Affiliates Newsletter 28.12. 2006

DEAR ALL,

The idea of this newsletter is to help you to perceive some of the the opportunities SICU can offer, and to arouse questions to be utilized in further development of the concept, and to prepare and plan for the new coming year 2007. To become familiar with the latest definition of SICU, please visit www.sicusynergy.org. Please give your comments on how you would like to improve it.

BREAK THROUGH YEAR 2007

The SICU Synergy Solutions Group idea & concept is today globally widely known, as it has been actively communicated through the 12 globally extensive networks I’m personally involved in, and through the SICU Networks and Group Forums we have been working on for more than one year. By this I look forward to that the coming year 2007 will be
” The Break Through Year”
.

How well we are going to succeed depends naturally on all of us - how actively we communicate with each other, and with our interest groups, and
how  effectively we utilize the SICU context as a whole, and share new business ideas and opportunities with each other in order to create, develop and execute new SICU concepts, campaigns, projects and/or events in as many SICU city and country as possible.

A GLOBAL OPERATIONAL RESEARCH GROUP & THINK TANK

Operational Research (OR) was a system devised during WW2 to solve unique problems of technology, logistics and strategy. Radar was one of the hundreds of answers to vaguely positioned but urgent problems that OR produced.

The principle of OR was that new circumstances required innovative methodologies. An OR group was always a mixture of different professional disciplines. A botanist, a mathematician, a chemist, a psychologist, an astronomer - each OR member brought to the group a discrete worldview or logical system, and also detailed knowledge and understanding of the structure of that system. But none of them could solve the problem alone.

ONLY THE INTERSECTION of these systems produced innovative thinking. The clash of these systems, the impossibility of mapping one system onto another, is what often sparked the INSIGHT - the FLASH OF INSPIRATION that firstly defined the gestalt of the problem, and eventually led to its solution.

The idea of OR can usefully be applied both within and outside any commercial and institutional organisations (read: SICU clients), which seek fresh input into their systems of management, operation, and marketing communication.

SICU can easily be defined as an Operational Research Group & Think tank both globally and "glocally". The SICU concept is designed to increase trust, interaction, added value and multiplicative effects, and cooperation between all parties involved, and to offer an opportunity to form "glocal" organisations and 'SICU Service Cluster Teams' in order to solve problems and to fulfil the specific needs of Individual Customers (Think Global, Act Local)

BUILD-UP YOUR OWN "GLOCAL" SICU ORGANISATION

As all SICU affiliates and global partners are connected with each other through the "SICU processor & head quarters" in Helsinki, each "glocal" SICU affiliate have also an opportunity to utilize the SICU affiliates programme handbook (SICU POWER point), including the rights, benefits and opportunities to build-up new "glocal" SICU Service Cluster teams and Think tanks to support local, regional and national activities and "pro-operations".

This is also the way each affiliate can generate income by "glocal" membership fees, sponsorship packages, affiliates programmes, web-sites, projects, events, monthly meetings... among others.
